When I searched for Catholic photographers in Montana, I couldn't find a single one. They were all "experienced in" Catholic weddings, but none of them said they themselves were Catholic.
WHY I ONLY DO CATHOLIC WEDDINGS
MY TESTIMONIAL
Ever since I started my business, I've been wondering how I can give my gifts back to God. How can I serve Him with the talents I've been given?
After struggling with some moral dilemmas as a non-Catholic wedding photographer, I decided transitioning to only Catholic weddings was the best decision. And after discovering the lack of Catholic photographers in the entire state, it felt like I had found my niche. Like I had finally realized what I had been put in Montana for after 2 years, and like I had finally discovered how I can serve God through my art.
John 3:16
"For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord"
Redirecting my business has been no easy task, and I've had to learn to trust in the Lord. The morning I decided I wouldn't be taking on any more non-Catholic weddings, I freaked out a little bit because I had no idea how I was going to get my name out there in the Catholic community. I would have to pretty much start my business from the ground up. Again.
And less than an hour later, I checked my email and saw an inquiry for a Catholic wedding. Someone had responded to a comment I made on a post a couple weeks ago and was asking about packages and availability.
I didn't end up booking that wedding, but it felt like God was holding my hand and saying, "it's okay, I've got you." It gave my the clarity I needed that everything would be alright and that moving towards Catholic weddings was a good (and maybe the best) option for me.
WHY HIRE A PHOTOGRAPHER WHO'S CATHOLIC?

1. I understand the mass
Growing up Catholic, I know all the important moments to capture and also the times to stop shooting or to shoot as quietly/minimally as possible
2. Marriage is a Sacrament, and I know how to be reverent
3 REASONS
WHY YOU NEED A
CATHOLIC PHOTOGRAPHER
FOR YOUR CATHOLIC WEDDING
I try my hardest to provide as few distractions as possible. I've had people say they didn't even know I was there. I stand when you stand, kneel when you kneel, and overall try to be as reverent and respectable as I can be. Getting the shot is important, yes, but you'll never see me cut across the front of the aisle as a "quick shortcut" or get up in your face for your vows. Respect for the mass and the sacrament come first, "the shot" comes second
3. My love for Catholicism will show up in your photos
I was talking to a bride recently who was saying that she couldn't find any specifically Catholic photographers out there. She mentioned that when she saw my Catholic Ceremonies gallery, she could tell just how much I understood the beauty of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony. My faith speaks through my art. I pay attention to the details and the symbolism. Your wedding gallery won't be just a documentary of the ceremony, it will be a collection of heartfelt imagery that represents you, your union, and your faith that ties it all together
While a non-Catholic photographer may have experience with Catholic weddings and be able to document the order of events, a Catholic photographer brings an elevated element to your gallery and overall experience.
